The Pitt County Bassmasters Angler of the Year Award is given to the angler with the most cumulative points throughout all club tournaments in the current fiscal year. Angler of the year is determined by totaling the top 8 finishes for each member during the tournament year. Only the top 8 finishes are used to determine the Angler of the Year. The remaining tournament finishes are dropped.
Members can also be awarded with bonus points by attending club meetings. A member may receive 0.5 points for every club meeting they attend. The maximum amount of bonus points a member can receive is 4 points. The top 6 anglers each year in the club standings qualify for the opportunity to fish the North Carolina Bass Nation Eastern Qualifier Tournament.
